Ellsworth is set to become a continuous 45

Ellsworth Road, Eastmark's western boundary and the road most drivers use to reach the neighborhood, is set to become a continuous 45 mph street under a Mesa ordinance headed to council next month.

  • What: An ordinance dropping the Ellsworth stretch between Elliot Road and the south city limits from 50 mph to 45 mph, making the whole road one speed end to end across Mesa.
  • Why: Recommended by Mesa's Transportation Advisory Board.
