The World Cup, on the big screen at Gateway Library
The FIFA World Cup is on, and Gateway Library has become the neighborhood spot to watch it: a big screen, a full room, and no reason to sit in the July sun to do it.
Key facts:
- What: FIFA World Cup 2026 public viewing on the library's big screen.
- Saturday's match: Norway vs. England, 2 PM.
- Where: Gateway Library, on Inspirian Parkway just north of the Great Park.
- Cost: Free. Family-friendly, walk in.
The branch opened in 2024 and has turned into the default gathering spot for this side of Mesa. In a week when outdoor plans mean racing the clock, an air-conditioned room with the match on is an easy Saturday afternoon.
Viewings continue through the tournament. Check the library's calendar for the next round's times. Details.
